NEW ZEALAND - Christchurch - University of Canterbury - Nanoengineered Materials & Devices (ENEL 672)
ENEL672 - Nanoengineered Materials and Devices (Half year paper)
The areas of nanoscience, engineering and technology together comprise one of the most rapidly developing research efforts in the world. The fundamental concept is the ability to create and manipulate structures with at least one dimension less than 1000 nanometres (1 nm = 0.000000001 m); these structures often exhibit unique and unpredictable properties that can lead to significant advances in device technology.
This course will focus on:
- Fundamental concepts behind nano-scale fabrication and processing;
- Recent advances in nano-scale electronics;
Issues that must be addressed in order to commercially realise nanotechnology-based products.(July to October)
Entry Requirements
ENEL672 - Prerequisite: Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
