USA - New York - Ithaca - Cornell University - Nanobiotechnology Institute for Teachers
The nanobiotechnology Institute for Teachers is a one-week program that immerses chemistry, physics, and biology teachers in the tools and processes of micro- and nanofabrication.
BMEP 601 Summer Institute 1 credit. Teachers work in teams to design and fabricate devices to study biology at the nanometer scale and to test-drive nanobiotechnology kits and lessons for their classrooms. Teachers are then invited to borrow equipment and kits from the Main Street Science lending library. Lab activities correlated to state and national science standards include:
