Job Description: |
Our client is a venture-funded technology startup focused on nanoenergeticsTM, nanochromicsTM, nanomineralsTM and nanomaterials. The Company is currently developing products for billion-dollar market applications harnessing the powerful capabilities of nanotechnology.
Reporting to the President, this individual must have a PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science and a proven track record of product development experiences that have lead to commercialization. Additionally, this person must have significant experiences in an executive management capacity in order to develop and implement business plans that support the objectives for future growth. Proven abilities to manage and mentor employees are essential for success.
This position will also provide materials sales support. In addition the candidate will continue to seek out and obtain funding for future projects. Candidate will conduct and direct research and experimentation to support the technical goals of funded projects. This position involves direct management and leadership responsibility for engineering in addition to overseeing the motion controls department and support staff.
Responsibilities include the continued development of the companies’ current products in addition to managing the design and development of new products. Project management expertise will be critical while managing the design and development phase of this job.

Job Requirements: |
Experience and Job Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science or Engineering and at least 10 years of experience successfully managing commercial product/process development programs. Candidate must exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills and work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
