Wageningen University and Research Centre (Wageningen UR) is an international renowned knowledge institute in the fields of life sciences and sustainability. It makes an essential contribution to the quality of life through pioneering research and innovative education in the fields of health and nutrition, sustainable agricultural systems and a viable environment.
The current project is a collaboration between Wageningen Plant Sciences Group-business unit BioScience and the Organic Chemistry (ORC) department of Wageningen University. The Organic Chemistry department focuses on functional surfaces, in which tailor-made bio-organic or biological moieties are used as active parts. BU Bioscience develops the engineering of recombinant antibody proteins.

Job Requirements: |
• a university degree at MSc level in a relevant field (e.g. biochemistry, molecular biology, bionanotechnology);
• experience with recombinant protein expression and/or self-assembled monolayers.
Start: preferably September 2008
Estimated maximum salary per month: € 2001 in the first year rising to € 2560 in the fourth year.
Duration of the contract: for a period of 18 months with a possible extension of 30 months
Maximum hours per week: 36
Since this position is part of a Marie-Curie Network, candidates should be nationals of an EU Member State other than the Netherlands, and not have studied in the Netherlands for more than 1 year.
